Eclipse IDE is a Java application development software, specifically the so-called "rich client applications" which are much more complete and extensible than the so-called "lightweight applications". These applications are extensible and configurable. The program creates an integrated design environment (IDE) from which you can launch the application, design it and debug its bugs.
This software is written in open source but is not part of GNLU as it is an eclipse code itself that has been used to create this program, anyway is part of the open source applications and allow developers to implement them.
